InfectUs
A proof of concept that showed how easily anyone could build a virus out of Windows' own tools: tick what you want to happen, and InfectUs writes the batch files.
ERROR 404: HOST OFFLINE. THIS PROJECT IS ARCHIVED, SO THERE IS NO LIVE LINK.
InfectUs created a series of batch files after you picked the options and outcome you wanted: disable Control Panel, Shutdown, Regedit, right-click on the desktop, Norton and the Windows Firewall; create a hidden admin user; turn on Remote Desktop, a Netcat listener or Wget to pull down a file; send a NetSend message; or rename the Start button, Run and My Computer to "Pwned". Then you used WinRAR to wrap them into a self-extracting file that looked like any other installer.
It was for education and proof of concept: it showed just how easy it is for literally anyone to make a virus or hack tool with nothing but legal tools that are already on the computer. It shipped from infectingus.com and was the subject of Cracked Productions' fifth episode.
