PatternForge
Train puzzles. Forge patterns. A chess tactics trainer built on spaced repetition, so patterns stick instead of fading after one session.
Puzzles come from the Lichess open database, about four million of them, and are scheduled one at a time with SM-2 spaced repetition, the same method flashcard apps use.
You can train Woodpecker-style sets, build your own sets, or import your games from Chess.com or Lichess: they're analysed on the server and your own mistakes become puzzles. A ranked mode, Crucible, has Game Center and Google Play leaderboards.

Reviews that adapt to you
Every puzzle is scheduled with SM-2 spaced repetition. Miss one and it comes back soon; solve it cleanly and it waits longer. The training adjusts as you improve.

[02]
Crucible: ranked and against the clock
Blitz, Sprint and Survival runs, practice or ranked, with personal bests and global leaderboards on Game Center and Google Play. The server only saves scores a real run could produce.

[03]
Build your own sets
Make training sets from Lichess puzzle pools, Lichess studies or your own PGN files. Filter by theme, rating and difficulty, then train normally or with the Woodpecker Method.

[04]
Share with the community
Browse sets other players have published, sort them by theme or popularity, and publish your own for others to train with.

[05]
Puzzles from your own games
Connect Chess.com or Lichess and your games are imported and analysed on the server. The positions you got wrong become your puzzles.

[06]
Proof that it's working
Puzzles per week and win rate over time, with automatic takeaways that compare your recent play to earlier, plus your strongest and weakest themes.

[07]
A rating and a streak to protect
Your performance rating charted over time, the puzzles you've solved and attempted, and a daily streak that keeps you coming back.
