Cracked Productions

A monthly hacking, modding and tech-comedy video show I made with a friend as a teenager. Two seasons, 22 episodes, now recovered and back online.

Cracked Productions ran from April 2006 to February 2008: twenty episodes plus two specials, with a blog, a shoutbox and a forum around it. I did the hacking tips and my friend Miguel was the comedy foil.

In 2026 I brought it back. Every episode was recovered from old backups, a torrent and the original S3 bucket, then re-encoded and served from Cloudflare R2. The old blog posts, comments and 1,457 shoutbox messages were restored from archive captures, and the site replays the guestbook as a live log.

The show, 2006 – 2008

Cracked Productions started on April 5, 2006: two teenagers, me (Zyaga) and my friend Miguel, filming a monthly show of hacking tips and tech comedy. I did the tips; Miguel was the comedy foil, learning right along with the viewers. The tagline was "Making the Elite more 31337."

Every episode got its own page with the runtime, the file size, the tools it used and a download link, and from September 2007 a Watch Now button to stream it. Around the show grew a blog, a shoutbox, a forum, a gallery, an IRC chat and live security checks like a clipboard test and a port scan.

It ran two seasons, twenty episodes and two specials, from Cain & Abel and Wireshark in episode one to soldering a RetroUSB SNES controller kit in episode nine, until the last episode in February 2008.
